Quick answer
Can an ACRA Bizfile Be Apostilled?
Yes — an ACRA bizfile apostille is available for your business profile, certificate of incorporation or certificate of good standing, issued by the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) for overseas use. The only question is which route: direct SAL verification, or notarisation by a Notary Public first.
The Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) legalises Singapore government documents that it can verify — through a physical endorsement, a QR code, the SingPass portal or an email from the issuing agency. If SAL cannot verify the document that way, it must be notarised by a Notary Public first, and SAL then authenticates the notarised document.
We check whether SAL can verify your document directly; if not, it is notarised first. Either way, the result carries an SAL apostille certificate. Countries outside the Hague Apostille Convention then need embassy attestation.

Why Bizfile Documents Get Stuck
The printout can't be verified
If the QR code doesn't scan or the printout doesn't match the online version, SAL can't verify it. We check the file and print before submission.
Verification needs your SingPass
If a document can only be checked through a director's SingPass login, SAL needs that person at the counter. We tell you upfront.
The wrong document is ordered
A bank may want a business profile, a certificate of incorporation or a good standing certificate. We don't advise which one the receiver needs — please check their list — but we make sure the one you have can go through.
The embassy step is forgotten
For the UAE and other non-Hague countries, the SAL apostille is followed by UAE embassy attestation or the relevant embassy — see embassy attestation in Singapore.
