Quick answer
How to Attest a Singapore Degree for the UAE
Singapore degree certificate attestation for UAE means an apostille or authentication from the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), then attestation by the UAE Embassy in Singapore — with a Notary Public first if SAL cannot verify your degree directly. The UAE is not a Hague Apostille Convention member, so the SAL step alone is not enough. Which route applies depends on who issued your certificate:
Degrees SAL verifies directly — NUS, NTU, SMU, SIT, SUSS, SUTD, polytechnics and ITE. These go straight to the Singapore Academy of Law for an apostille, then to the UAE Embassy in Singapore.
Degrees that need a notary first — private schools, international schools and overseas-university campuses in Singapore. A Notary Public notarises the certificate, SAL authenticates the notarisation, and then the UAE Embassy attests it.
This is part of our UAE embassy attestation in Singapore service, which in turn sits within our wider embassy attestation in Singapore work, and builds on our degree certificate apostille service. The receiving authority in the UAE may ask for further steps once you arrive, so confirm with your employer what they need.

Why Degree Attestation for Dubai Gets Delayed
The degree is from a private or overseas campus
SAL can't verify it directly. Without a notary first, it's turned away at the counter. We notarise it before SAL.
The certificate is an OpenCerts file
SAL needs an exact printout with a working QR code. We print, scan-test and check it matches the online version — see our OpenCerts apostille service.
The embassy was approached first
In this chain, the UAE Embassy step comes after SAL. We follow the correct order.
The employer also wanted the transcript
Some find out only after the degree is done. We ask upfront and process both together.
The certificate is laminated
SAL cannot apostille a laminated document. We tell you whether to request a fresh copy from your registrar.
