Quick answer

Do You Need Qatar Embassy Attestation?

Yes, if the receiving authority in Qatar asks for it. Qatar is not a Hague Apostille Convention member, so Qatar embassy attestation in Singapore can be required after the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) step. Confirm with the receiving authority before you start — we map the chain for your document.

The order matters. Private and company documents are notarised first; government documents SAL can verify go straight to SAL; the embassy comes last. This chain of legalisation is exactly what our embassy attestation in Singapore service handles, end to end.

Not sure whether your document needs a notary first? Send a photo — we'll tell you before you pay.

Why Qatar Attestations Get Delayed

Wrong order

The embassy step comes after SAL. A document that skipped the notary or SAL step has to go back and start again.

Laminated certificates

SAL cannot put an apostille on a laminated document — and without SAL, the embassy step can't follow. We arrange a fresh extract, or an SAL-made copy if the Qatar side accepts copies.

Private certificates without notarisation

Private and international school certificates, employment letters and company documents need an appointed Notary Public first, then SAL authentication — see notarisation and apostille.

Embassy requirements change

Each embassy sets its own fees, days and document rules. We confirm the Qatar embassy's current requirements when we quote, so you're not caught out.

Translation not checked

Your receiver in Qatar may want Arabic. Confirm with your employer or sponsor — if needed, we add Arabic translation attestation.

Qatar Attestation — FAQs

Is an SAL apostille enough for Qatar?

Not necessarily. Qatar is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, so after SAL the receiving authority may also require attestation by the Qatar embassy in Singapore — confirm with them.

How do I get degree attestation for Qatar from Singapore?

Degrees from NUS, NTU, SMU, SIT, SUSS, SUTD, polytechnics and ITE go straight to SAL, then to the Qatar embassy. Private institution certificates need a Notary Public first.

How much does Qatar embassy attestation cost in Singapore?

SAL charges SGD 10.70 per government document, or SGD 87.20 to authenticate a notarised document. The embassy fee is charged at cost; we confirm the current amount and send one all-in quote.

How long does Qatar embassy attestation take?

Allow 5–10 working days for the full chain. Embassy days and processing times can change, so we confirm the embassy's current requirements when we quote.

Can you attest company documents for Qatar?

Yes. ACRA bizfile extracts, board resolutions and POAs are notarised, authenticated by SAL and then attested by the Qatar embassy. Commercial documents such as a certificate of origin first need Chamber of Commerce endorsement.

Do I need an Arabic translation for Qatar?

It depends on who receives the document. SAL does not translate, so check with your employer or sponsor; we arrange Arabic translation if they need it.

Do I have to go to the Qatar embassy myself?

We handle the notary and SAL steps, and confirm with you whether the embassy step can be done on your behalf.

Are you the Qatar embassy or SAL?

No. We are an independent Singapore document service that prepares your documents and takes them to the notary, SAL and the embassy for you.
