Our Service

SAL Legalisation Service is an independent service provider. We are not the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), a government agency or an embassy. Legalisation, authentication and attestation decisions are made by those authorities, and acceptance of a document is decided by the receiving authority overseas.

Quotes and Fees

  • Every quote lists government and statutory fees separately from our service fee.
  • Government fees are passed on at cost and are set by the relevant authority. SAL fees are non-refundable once paid.
  • Our service fee is agreed before work starts.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide genuine, unaltered documents and accurate information.
  • Confirm the receiving authority's requirements, such as whether an apostille, embassy attestation or translation is needed.
  • Attend in person where a Notary Public must witness your signature.

Timelines

Turnaround estimates depend on the Notary Public, SAL and embassies. We keep you informed, but cannot guarantee third-party processing times.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds. Each order involves government, notary and embassy steps that cannot be undone, so instead we complete the work you ordered. If something is not right with a document we prepared, we correct it and redo the work at no extra charge, and where needed we arrange a free reissue.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the service fee paid for the order concerned, to the extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
