Quick answer
Bangladesh High Commission Singapore Attestation — What Changed in 2025
Since 30 March 2025, when the Hague Apostille Convention came into force for Bangladesh, a Singapore documents apostille for Bangladesh from the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) replaces the high commission or embassy legalisation step. SAL is the only authority that legalises Singapore documents for overseas use.
Before you send anything, confirm with the receiving office that it accepts an apostilled document. If they ask for something different, send us their message and we confirm the right route with you before you pay. Our SAL apostille service in Singapore covers every step; if an office asks for a consular step, see embassy attestation in Singapore.
Unsure what the office in Bangladesh wants? Send us their checklist — we check it for you.
Why Documents for Bangladesh Get Held Up
Private documents sent straight to SAL
Powers of attorney, employer letters and personal declarations need a Notary Public first. We add notarisation and apostille when it's needed.
Laminated certificates
SAL cannot put an apostille on a laminated document. We help you get a fresh extract, or an apostille on an SAL-made copy if the recipient accepts copies.
Digital certificates with a faulty QR code
The printout must match the online version and the QR code must scan — see digital document apostille. We print and test first.
Names that don't match
If your name is spelt differently across your passport and the document, the office in Bangladesh may query it. We flag this early so you can ask them how they want it handled.
