Quick answer
Saudi Embassy Attestation in Singapore — Is It Still Needed?
No. Saudi Arabia has been a Hague Apostille Convention member since 7 December 2022, so a Singapore document apostille for Saudi Arabia from the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) replaces the old chain of SAL legalisation plus Saudi embassy attestation. Confirm with the receiving authority in Saudi Arabia before you submit.
If your checklist mentions “Saudi embassy attestation”, check it with the receiving authority — since 7 December 2022 the apostille replaces that step. We take your document through our SAL apostille service in Singapore, plus a translation only if your employer or university asks for one.
Your checklist still says “embassy attestation”? Send it to us on WhatsApp — we'll read it and confirm what you actually need before you pay.
Why Saudi Documents Get Delayed
Following the old embassy process
Time spent chasing an embassy step that no longer applies is time your job offer or admission is waiting. We go straight to SAL.
Laminated certificates
SAL cannot put an apostille on a laminated document. We arrange a fresh extract from the issuing agency, or an apostille on an SAL-made copy if the Saudi side accepts copies.
Private or international school certificates
SAL can verify MOE, NUS, NTU, SMU, SIT, SUSS, SUTD, polytechnic and ITE certificates directly. Private and international school certificates, employment letters and company documents need a Notary Public first — we add notarisation and apostille.
Digital certificates with a faulty QR code
The printout must match the online version exactly and the QR code must scan — see digital document apostille. We print, test and check before we go.
Translation not checked
SAL does not translate documents. Confirm with your employer or university whether they also want an Arabic translation — if so, we arrange Arabic translation attestation in the same order.
