Quick answer
What Is Thai Embassy Legalisation in Singapore?
Thai embassy legalisation in Singapore is the chain that prepares a Singapore document for use in Thailand: notarisation by a Notary Public where the document needs it, legalisation by the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), and then legalisation by the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore. Thailand's accession to the Hague Apostille Convention takes effect on 28 February 2027; until then, the embassy step follows SAL. SAL is the only authority that legalises Singapore documents for overseas use.
Company documents — board resolutions, powers of attorney, certificates of incorporation — and other private documents need a Notary Public first. Singapore public documents SAL can verify, such as ROM marriage certificates SAL can check, go straight to SAL.

Why Documents for Thailand Get Held Up
The wrong route for the date
A document used in Thailand before 28 February 2027 needs the embassy step; after that date, an apostille is expected to be enough. We match the route to the date your recipient will receive it.
Company documents sent to SAL without notarisation
SAL only authenticates company resolutions and powers of attorney after a Notary Public has notarised them. We arrange both.
A format that doesn't match the last filing
If your Thai lawyer or accountant sent a sample, we prepare the document to follow it and the director signs in front of the notary.
A translation requested at the last minute
If the Thai recipient asks for a translation, we arrange translation and apostille in the same order — confirm with the recipient.
Unclear embassy requirements
We confirm the embassy's current requirements, and whether we can submit on your behalf, when we quote.
