Quick answer
Can an Employment Letter Be Apostilled in Singapore?
Yes — an employment letter apostille in Singapore takes two steps: a Singapore Notary Public notarises the letter, payslip or experience certificate, then the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) authenticates it and affixes an apostille for SGD 87.20 per notarised document. For a non-Hague country such as the UAE, Qatar or Kuwait, embassy attestation follows the SAL step.
There are two notary routes: your company's authorised signatory signs the letter before the notary, or the notary certifies a true copy of the original. Which one fits depends on the document and on what your receiving authority accepts — we confirm this before you pay. More on how the notary step works: notarisation and apostille.
Why Employment Letters Get Stuck Before SAL
Taken straight to the SAL counter
SAL only apostilles company-issued documents after a Notary Public has notarised them. We add the notary step first, so no trip is wasted.
Only a PDF or an e-signed letter
If SAL cannot verify a company-issued PDF, a notary route is used instead. We tell you which one applies to your file.
The HR signatory isn't available
The signatory route needs the company's authorised signatory in front of the notary. If that isn't possible, we check whether a certified true copy route is acceptable to your receiving authority.
The wrong document for the receiving authority
SAL does not advise which documents you need, and neither do we guess. Send us the employer's, bank's or visa office's checklist and we match your documents to it.
A non-Hague destination
For the UAE, Qatar or Kuwait, the embassy stamp comes after SAL, not before. We run the steps in the right order.
Not in English
SAL accepts documents in English or bilingual with English, and does not translate. If the destination asks for its own language, we arrange translation and apostille.
